Android Feature: Do Not Disturb

On September 30, 2011, in Idea, Shouldexist, by jafo

Dear Google Android Team,

I see that Google Voice has a “Do Not Disturb” setting. Nice, but shouldn’t this really be a global setting that I can toggle on and off for everything, rather than having to go into every app? Then apps could have a setting for whether they honor the DND setting or ignore it. That way I could set up Voice and Plus to honor it, and SMS messaging to ignore it (I need to receive SMS messages from computers at night).
